An Open Invitation

Happy New Year! I'm finding my way back to the mat.
Not as a challenge though. I don't need to prove my discipline or my dedication. This is really about me giving myself an opportunity to create an intentional vibration.
I used to practice yoga every day. Honestly, my life revolved around how many classes were planned on any given day. And then, my life started revolving around other things. I think most lives are like that--not necessarily with yoga, but just the ebb and flow of what's important and what we have time for.
But I missed yoga (and still do!), which is why this year I am giving myself permission to reconnect with an old friend--my yoga mat. Something about the peace in a day that gently begins. Something about breath-movement-repetition that clears my mind and steadies me for whatever. Something about just taking a moment to sit with myself and check in: What do I feel? Where do I feel it? I miss that. And I want there to always be an opportunity for that in my life.
So for January, I have made a promise--not to practicing yoga everyday, but to be intentional about tuning my day to the vibration I want to maintain. So if I don't practice on my mat every day it's ok, because everyday I will make time to breathe and be present. And most days, I intend to include a yoga session of sort.
Would you like to join me this year, in making time and space for connection with yourself? It's an open invite, I'll see you on the mat!
